Thank you for joining us at the Press Conference and Hearing on Tuesday, February 25, 2020
One hundred and twenty four members from dozens of groups and communities gathered around the cameras to hear and be heard. An impressive number for a drizzly February morning! The City Council released their report, and many groups and individuals gave testimony (links to some of the testimony below).
We would also like to thank Comptroller Scott Stringer for sending a letter to DOT Commissioner Polly Trottenberg asking for details about the DOT's immediate BQE repair plans and timeline. The letter also calls for a task force to enable transparency and community engagement in the repair plans. The letter was also signed by Congresswoman Velazquez, Senator Kavanagh, and Assemblymembers Simon and Mosley. We thank the elected officials for this effort.
